Product Advantage
The G209 bow shackle can be widely used in various fields such as construction, ports, mines, and transportation. It can easily connect thick ropes, chains or slings and is suitable for heavy-duty lifting shackles (such as 5T-50T loads). After testing, the G209 shackle can maintain stable performance under dynamic loads, ensuring operational safety.
The G209 shackle is made of Grade 8 alloy steel (tensile strength ≥ 850MPa) and undergoes quenching + tempering heat treatment, with a hardness of HRC 30-40 and a wear resistance increase of over 50%. Compared with ordinary carbon steel shackles, its fatigue life is extended by three times, making it suitable for high-frequency and high-impact working environments. Some models also offer 316 stainless steel shackles with salt spray corrosion resistance exceeding 1000 hours, perfectly meeting the demands of marine engineering.
Each batch of G209 shackles undergoes 100% magnetic particle inspection and load testing (4 times WLL static load test) to ensure no internal cracks or defects. The product complies with CE standards, allowing customers to use it with confidence. According to statistics, our shackles have maintained a safety usage rate of 99.8% in 10 years of market application.
We offer a full range of G209 shackles from 0.5T to 100T, with pin options including bolt type, pin type or spring type. We also support non-standard shackles, pin type shackles, spring type shackles, and port-specific shackles.

Product Applications
The G209 cleat is widely used in the connection of anchor chains on ships, the fixation of towing equipment, and the lifting of offshore platforms. Its high strength and corrosion resistance ensure reliable use in harsh marine environments, ensure the safety of operations.
At construction sites, G209 shackles are used for hoisting reinforcing bars, formworks or heavy building materials, in conjunction with cranes, slings and other equipment. During high-altitude work, it can connect safety ropes to anchor points to prevent personnel from falling, which complies with safety regulations.
In the logistics industry, G209 shackles are commonly used to secure goods or containers, especially on heavy trucks and cargo ships. Their load-bearing capacity can stably bind large goods, preventing loosening during transportation, and enhancing efficiency and safety.
In factory maintenance, G209 shackles are used for hoisting heavy components such as motors, pipelines, and reaction vessels. The standardized design can be combined with chains and steel wire ropes to ensure the safety and convenience of equipment disassembly and assembly.
I. Pre-use Inspection
1. Confirm that the snap hook has no cracks, deformation, rust or wear.
2. Verify that the rated load of the snap hook meets the operational requirements and prohibit overloading.
II. Correct Installation Steps
1. Hang the crossbar (arch-shaped part) of the snap hook onto the main load-bearing component (such as the lifting ring or rope eye).
2. Fully screw or insert the pin shaft into or onto the body of the snap hook to ensure that the thread is tightened to the root.
3. If using a bolt-type pin shaft, use a wrench to tighten the nut until it fits.
III. Maintenance After Use
1. After disassembly, remove mud, oil stains, and apply lubricating grease to the threaded parts for rust prevention.
2. Store in a dry place to avoid damp conditions.
Regular Inspection
Check for wear every 6 months or after frequent use (focus on: pin shaft, arch-shaped part).
If any of the following situations occur, the snap hook should be scrapped immediately:
Cracks or permanent deformation, diameter deformation exceeding the original size by 10%, thread damage or inability to tighten.
FAQ
A shackle is a detachable metal connector, typically made of steel, stainless steel, or alloy, used to connect ropes, chains, slings, etc. It is commonly used in lifting, hoisting, navigation, transportation, and other fields.
